I blogged about Xteeener’s YouTube videos awhile back. I haven’t done any intense research on make-up gurus on YouTube or anything. Maybe because I found Xteeener and I love her, so I never looked elsewhere? I feel like her tutorials are very user friendly and she favors a natural look. She also features affordable products, in fact, most are drug store finds! I love that. Her videos have really helped me wade a sea of crap make-up to find effective products, and achieve the look(s) I am going for.

Recently she posted this video that I think a lot of you ladies might find useful. She created an every day look in about ten minutes. I estimate that I spend about fifteen minutes every morning doing my make-up, but I don’t make great use out of that time. I wouldn’t describe my look as polished, and I rarely wear eye make-up (even though I kinda need it. Damn you, disappearing Japanese eyes).
I tried following her tutorial one morning, and really enjoyed challenging myself to re-create her simple day time look. I failed the timing part and took thirteen minutes, but I looked more put together than I usually do. Also, I need to find a nude eye pencil ASAP! My wedding day make-up artist used the nude liner trick, and it really brightened up my eyes.

How long do you spend doing your make-up in the morning?

I usually spend about 10 minutes…unless its the weekend…then usually about 3. It takes me longer to figure out what I'm going to wear!

Holy cow this is so interesting! This would take me like 30 minutes. 13 is impressive! I dont usually wear make up unless I have meetings that day. I love how effortless she made it looks. Inspires me to throw someone today! πŸ™‚

hmmm…i think i spend about 15 mins not including skincare. i've got it down to a science as most days i use the exact same products without variance. i'd love to see you do a post on what products you're currently using.

I'm the queen of doing my make-up while at stop lights, so I'd say I can do the "everyday" look in about 10 minutes. If I'm getting ready for an evening out, schedule about 30 minutes. And if it's a show, schedule about 45 to an hour – depending on the make up style. Once you wear old age makeup, you never look at brow pencils the same way again! (I usually avoid eyeliners though – colored mascaras are nice though! Covergirl has some goodies!)

Other skin care is usually done whenever I shower and it only includes face wash. (It used to not even include that – but My Sailor has super sensetive skin, so since it's there, I'll use it.)

I just got my eyebrows tattooed so it takes me less time to get ready– about 15 min. to do my makeup. for a good nude eyeliner– mac has one but i think you can only buy it at a PRO store… but stila has a good one too called "topaz"…

It looks great. I love when I can do my make up quickly, and I try not to spend more then 10 minutes on that
