This is a short post (more like a half post), but, nevertheless, a way for all of us to expand our online social network.

I think it’s safe to say that I finally have an “active” Twitter account. It only took years. But I now tweet on a pretty regular basis thanks to some perseverance and UberTwitter. It is actually a lot of fun once you get the hang of it! It has also proven to be a great networking tool. As I said in a past post, Twitter makes me feel like I am connecting more with others, because it is much more interactive than blog commenting. And thank goodness I got over the whole “I’m a dweeb. I’m not in on the cool conversations”. If someone doesn’t respond to my tweet, no biggie. You get over it, and life moves on. Remember, folks, this is social networking (a.k.a. a website with a funny name), it’s not the end of the world.

I have tried to add most of my blog friends that have Twitter accounts, but I suspect I am not following everyone.

P.S. In other Twitter-related news, I found this awesome tool called Qwitter through pal, Kim, (a.k.a. Mrs. Lemon and @kim_michelle) that helps you keep track of people who stop following you on Twitter. It is really useful and allows you to be a little spy and keep an eye on spammers and followers who decide to drop your boring ass. I must be boring, because I have been dropped by a number of people. However, I defer to what I said above – it certainly ain’t the end of the world!
