For the first few years we dated we celebrated each month of our togetherness. Ahh, the early years. Well we’ve become quite lazy and haven’t done anything special for our date-a-versary in months. This month I decided I wanted to do something positive and proactive. So instead of our usual nice dinner out on the town, I asked L if he might be interested in participating in the Los Angeles Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure 5K walk/run (which happens to fall on March 15th). Without hesitation, he agreed and joked that he is always a big supporter of boobs. Men!
I am excited to donate our entrance fees as our date-a-versary “gifts” to each other. I have even recruited my Mom and her friend to walk with us, too.

I did the Danskin Triathlon last year to support breast cancer research as well! It was an AWESOME experience. This year, I’m back to doing it again and it’s in Disneyland! 🙂
