Review: Dove VisibleCare Softening Crème Body Wash

Last month, BlogHer asked me if I wanted to be part of a review program
for Dove’s new line of VisibleCare body washes. For several years, I have had
dry, sensitive skin, and I have tried more lotions and body washes than I can
count. I figured, why not try this one, right?

I love everything I know about Dove as a company, and what their
campaigns stand for; real women, real bodies, and working to raise self-esteem
in young girls. I have used Dove products in the past; particularly the Dove
Beauty Bar, deodorant, and their hair products. The
Dove Beauty Bar is always in our shower, and is my classic, go to soap. It’s so
moisturizing and always makes my skin feel amazing. So, I had no qualms about
sampling Dove’s latest skin care line.

When I received my bottle of Dove VisibleCare Softening
Crème Body Wash, I had high hopes. Let me
tell you a little about what my experience has been like.

For some reason, my legs have been particularly dry and
irritated this season, which is SO not sexy. I have been using this body wash in
the shower and applying it with a loofah to my elbows, knees, heels, and, of
course, my legs. I also love taking baths. It is my little escape at the end of
a long day! But baths can be so drying and the hot water strips skin of
moisture. To counteract it, I have been applying the body wash by hand and letting it soak
into my skin.

I have been using it for a few weeks now, and I love
the results I am seeing and feeling. It actually improved the look of the skin
on my legs! The dry spots and irritation are gone. Also, they are significantly
smoother than they were before. I’m told this is due to Dove’s NutriumMoisture.
The new line of body washes has the highest concentration of NutriumMoisture
technology; more than any other Dove product. And the product smells amazing! I
am picky about scents, but I really like its light floral fragrance. It makes
me feel clean, and it isn’t overbearing at all.

Overall, I really enjoyed sampling this product. The VisibleCare Softening Crème Body Wash makes my skin feel beautiful, and I am definitely ready for the rest of summer.
