My blog’s sidebar was getting a bit too busy for me. With ads flying around, lists, and whatnot, I needed to do something about it. So I got rid of that Google Friend Finder thing. I don’t know why I kept it up for so long. It’s pointless. I’ve tried clicking on new profile pics of friends that pop up in my Finder, and it doesn’t provide a link to my new friend’s blog or tell me anything about them. Humph.
I also reduced the amount of search terms in my tag cloud. That thing was a beast, and I highly doubt it was helping anyone. It seems a bit cleaner, and easier to navigate now.
I took down the Operation Layla badge, because I thought it was over. However, I spied on a tweet that said Ms. Layla might be doing something new with her organization. So you might see it pop back up.
Lastly, I brushed up my “About Me” section under the tab “My Story” at the top of the home page. I spent all morning creating an abridged version of my health and fertility journey for new readers. As a new reader, I always appreciate when a blogger has an informative “About Me” section. That’s why it’s pitiful that mine was so outdated. I also like to stay current with people’s journeys (whether it be health, weight loss, fertility, pregnancy, etc.) and the backstory of how they got to where they are today. Hence, my little health timeline. Timelines are strangely comforting to me.
And there you have it! Blog cleaning, CHECK!
