I don’t really address current events/celebrity gossip/etc on this blog, but I can’t seem to keep my thoughts to myself with this one.
Tiger Woods. Really. REALLY?!
If these things in the news are rooted in truth,
Elin, please take your beautiful children and move to Finland or wherever you are rumored to have purchased a home. Please don’t come back until this mess has blown over.
I don’t care if he’s a professional athlete, an Ibanker, or a cross dresser. The story that has unfolded is beyond comprehension. Some person on my Facebook had a status that said, “Who cares? Every guy cheats, come on!” Ummm, I hate to break the news to you, my dear Facebook friend…but not every guy cheats. Who do you hang out with?
And tabloids, I know you won’t do it, but can you please stop over-sharing sexual details with us? I just can’t bear to hear them anymore! I’m trying to keep my eyes and ears to myself, but it’s EVERYWHERE. You people are like kids in a candy store, contributing to the downfall of people’s lives, and it’s despicable.
Just had to put that out there. Rant over. I feel better now.

Well, they say money can't buy you happiness. I'm just glad to have some confirmation of that once in a while… otherwise being middle class just gets me down. 🙂

We never talk about Celeb gossip but for some reason, we're always talking about Tiger. It's just so weird, why get married?
I wonder how the news in Norway has been covering this. Elin's mom is the Minister of something or other (Migration?) there. I'm sure it's a huge political scandal. Or maybe not.

Cheating is terrible no matter what, but I'm really disgusted by the number of women he was with (and how he carried on with some of these women for years) and also (I hate saying this b/c it really shouldn't matter) I can't believe the type of women he was involved with (seriously, former Tool Academy cast member?!?!).
I feel so sad for his wife and children…

I'd be the same: "um, all men cheat? Pardon? Is that like saying men don't have the moral ability or intelligence to 'resist' temptation? That's a fairly sexist statement to outwardly say men are unable to commit to a monogamous relationship."
And as for the scandal: wtf? I mean, come on, at least be more discrete – not b/c he's a celebrity, but to prevent further hurting his wife. She can now read the texts he sent to various mistresses. That's very hurtful.

@Cathleya: I agree. This is one big example of how money doesn't buy happiness. Wealthy people can be the biggest basket cases around! Haha.
@M and C: My mom and I were saying the same thing, "Why get married?!" And yeah, Elin's mom is in politics, and apparently she had a stress attack and collapsed a few days ago in Florida. Yikes.

@Krista: It was such a sexist, off-the-wall comment! I was like, "huh"? And yeah, it's pretty messed up that along with the whole world, his wife can read what he texted some classless cocktail waitress.
