My mom and I took a quick girls’ trip to the Bay Area over the weekend. We both love San Francisco dearly, and try to make it up north at least once a year.
This trip didn’t disappoint! A few highlights: getting lost one block from our hotel, Crissy Field (my favorite), pouring rain, a lot of laughs, driving in the most ridiculously awesome rental car (Jeep Wrangler) because they ran out of mid-size cars, and the tastiest sourdough bread in the world.
I am fortunate to have the best mom any daughter could ever ask for. We have always been close. Yet, now that I am an adult, it is a different closeness. We are able to share so much, and both really respect each other as women, as well as parent and child. I couldn’t ask for more.

My favorite thing to do in San Francisco is go to Union Square during the holidays. It really seems to put me in the holiday spirit!
I also must admit that I love going to Giants games to watch the WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS play in their beautiful ballpark!

I was in San Fransisco once in my life in August for my honeymoon and my favourite thing that we did was ALL the crazy touristy things all tourists do! We were shameless in our map-looking in the middle of the street – loved it!

Oh, San Francisco, how I love thee. One day we'll be norcal residents again.
I can only pick one thing? I love the Ferry Building, Golden Gate Park, and the nostalgia I feel when on the BART.
You and your mom are adorable!

My favorite things to do include roaming the Ferry Building (and stopping in at Hog Island for some oysters!), roaming the Mission District (I love going down Graffiti Alley), and boutique shopping in Hayes Valley. It's so great that you and your mom can spend quality time together and do just a girls' thing!

I've never been to San Fransisco. Wait, actually, that's a lie, because I went as a child. 🙂 Merry Christmas!
