I woke up this morning feeling refreshed and ready to start the day. There was a cool breeze coming through my bedroom window. A cool breeze? That’s right, even L.A. paused for a minute to acknowledge the arrival of Fall. [Hope this means better news on the wildfires front.]We don’t really have “seasons” here, but we like to pretend. I’ll never forget when my college friends came to visit one winter and laughed and pointed at people wearing Uggs, hats, and scarves. To my friends, flip flops were worn until the first snow. In Southern California, anything below 65 degrees is cold. Today, as I was figuring out what to wear, I looked at my boots nudged all the way in the back of the closet. “Hmmm, I wonder when it might be cold enough to break out these bad boys?” I thought, and then I laughed a little. The leaves may not do a whole lot of changin’ here, but I’m still welcoming Fall with open arms…as I sit in my air conditioned office.
