I love the gesture of a well written and thoughtful thank you note. It isn’t wedding time yet, and already I can’t wait to thank our wedding guests!

For a DIY infant such as myself (who doesn’t own a Gocco), paper products and crafting are somewhat of an enigma to me. I’m not attempting to make my own invitations, but maybe I can handle the thank you notes. Without many original ideas of my own at the moment, I turn to Martha Stewart for details on how to create my own thank yous.

Go crazy with an embosser and create these pretties.

My inner-preppy girl loves these repeated monogram cards. Try it out and give Crane a run for their money!

For all you advanced placement DIY bees, check out these cool ink-block cards. I got lost after Step 1, but that’s not saying much.

And, finally, my favorite – Photo Postcards! It seems like a project I can handle. Apparently, success lies in deckle-edge scissors? Once I figure out what those are, I’ll be golden. On a side note, I really love the family portrait postcard. I have never seen thank you cards that feature the entire family. Me likey.

It is important to note: Martha Stewart Weddings includes a “how to” section with each card project so you can teach yourself how to make these beautiful notes. Just click on the links I provided above and that should take you where you need to go.

Are you planning on making your own thank you cards? Feel free to share yours!

As you’ve noticed, I love to craft things. But for the life of me, I can’t follow directions. Gimme pictures, and I’ll follow. So those directions that you got lost on – me, too!

Um, awesome! I think I’m going to make fake Atlanta postcards to have guests return as their RSVPs . . . and I love how these directions make them seem like the real deal! Good Ol’ Martha always comes through.

@Krista: Glad to know I’m not stupid. Those directions were freakin’ confusing!! (even w/o pictures, they could’ve been clearer!)

@Victory Bird: What a cute idea re: the RSVPs! I love it!
