Last week, I was Facebook stalking when I noticed one of my friends posted pictures of a recent wedding she had attended. I decided to peruse her pictures as any good Facebook stalker would do. There was my friend, smiling happily with her arm around the beaming bride. And there was the bride in her dress enjoying the day…with her entire cleavage hanging out. We’re not talking about a little peek-a-boo. Her boobs were just sorta chillin’…like maybe they needed their own seat at the reception table.

Surprised as I was (and trying not to judge, but failing miserably), I also realized that every bride has their own style and fashion sense. Often times, the dress inspires the flowers, the groom’s attire, and the ceremony/reception details. So just for fun, I decided to outline some of the style categories for wedding dresses. Which category do you fit most with? Or perhaps your dress is just too fabulous to fit any of these categories…in which case, let me know and I’ll make a new category 🙂

Traditional: A-line, off the shoulder, pretty.

Modern: Simple, sleek with a little edge
Romantic: flowing, flowery and impractical (hey, no one said romance was practical!)

Vintage Inspired: halter, delicate details and “must have” hairdo. Vera Wang: Vera Wang.

I like the top 2 … so pretty.

And yes, total boobage hanging out is … definitely a style choice. And you’re right, it’s so hard not to judge.

@the pissed off bride: Ooh! Sexy vintage…that sounds HOT!

@Krista: I was going to post an actual picture of the boobage just to illustrate my point. But that’s taking it TOO far.

I’m mostly a vintage-inspired traditional girl at heart. I think the details of our wedding will definitely reflect that style.
