We love Halloween in our house! Recently we had a festive afternoon and cooked up some spooky Halloween snacks with recipes that are simple and SO fun for helpful little ones! They are also great for entertaining whether it’s just family or you’ve got a big Halloween party to feed.

I picked up all the food and ingredients at my local QFC. QFC makes it so convenient to shop with them. Their app is my favorite! I made my shopping list in the app, and I love that I can find out whether a product is in stock or not and where to find it in the store. It makes shopping so much easier!

For these savory snack recipes, I used Tyson’s Crispy Chicken Strips and Tyson’s Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets. Our family loves both products! Tyson’s Chicken Nuggets are 100% antibiotic free with no added hormones or steroids. Tyson’s Crispy Chicken Strips are 100% natural ingredients with no added hormones, steroids, or trans fat.

The prep was so easy! I gathered all the ingredients and laid them out on the kitchen counter. I popped the chicken tenders and nuggets in the oven and they were ready in less than twenty minutes! I left them to cool and then let K help me assemble. We made One Eyed Aliens (with the chicken tenders) and Bats and the Full Moon (with the chicken nuggets).

K and I decorated with fun Halloween décor, set out our plates of food, and had a Halloween feast! We can’t wait to make these spooky snacks again when we entertain later on this month.

One Eyed Aliens

Serves 8

1 package Tyson® Fully Cooked Crispy Frozen Chicken Strips

1 bottle Marinara Sauce

1 package Sliced Provolone

1 can Black Olives

1.     Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.     Prepare Tyson® Crispy Chicken Strips according to package instructions.

3.     Cut the provolone into various circular sizes. I didn’t have a circular cookie cutter, so I used measuring spoons (in teaspoon and tablespoon sizes) to cut out the circles.

4.     Place the provolone circles on the chicken strips.

5.     Add olive slices for pupils.

6.     Serve on a bed of marinara.

Bats and the Full Moon

Serves 10

1 package Tyson® Fully Cooked Chicken Nuggets

1 package Blue Corn Chips

1 package Sliced Provolone

1 can Black Olives

1.     Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

2.     Cook Tyson® Chicken Nuggets according to the packaging.

3.     Arrange singular slices of provolone on your serving platter.

4.     Place one chicken nugget on top of each slice of cheese.

5.     Nestle two tortilla chips under each side of your chicken nugget. These are your bat wings!

6.     Add olive slices as bat eyes.

7.     Bats should look like they are flying in front of a full moon (cheese)!

Enjoy! And don’t forget to purchase all your Tyson products and Halloween snack supplies at your local Kroger Family of Brands Stores! Click here to add them to your cart or list.
