A few thoughts on this week:

1) I have been toying with changing my diet (yet again). I am focusing my energy on reducing my intake of sugar and processed foods. I am also trying to incorporate an influx of fresh veggies and fruits. Thus far, I feel the same, but my skin is starting to break out. It’s all pissy because it wants cookies and french fries.

I bought this book on Amazon, and I am looking forward to delving into it as soon as it arrives.

2) My favorite product this week has been my BootyWrap! I love me some yoga pants, but obviously, they don’t have pockets. The BootyWrap holds my keys, phone, etc. Sometimes I want to wear my stretchy pants with normal cotton underwear, and I don’t like panty lines. The BootyWrap hides my big ‘ol panty lines. Sometimes when I’m not in yoga class I’d like my ass covered, and I don’t want to tie a sweatshirt around my waist like I did in 1995. The BootyWrap isn’t bulky and doesn’t accentuate my hips. I’m a fan.

3) I am having dye inserted through a tube into my girly parts today. It’s called an HSG, and it is a test that tells you whether your fallopian tubes are blocked or not. It also creates a clearer picture of the uterus than an ultrasound. Try googling “HSG” and a bunch of women who like to scare the shit out of everyone will give you their opinion about why an HSG can hurt more than childbirth. Whatever. I’ll take the pain if it means we get some answers.

Please send prayers and/or good thoughts our way. We could use them!

The HSG isn't bad as its made out to be. It all depends on your tubes actually. If your tubes are completely or even partially blocked, you'll feel more pain when they try and insert the die otherwise, its a slight pinch and its over. I was able to work out and get it on with Hubs the same day after it was all said and done, the worst part was the anticipation after hearing from everyone that it was the worst thing ever! What Rachel says is true though, you are more likely to get pregnant after having the HSG done for a period of 3-6 months. Something about the "flushing" of your tubes and clearing out gunk. Good luck today!

Best of luck on today's procedure! I don't know too much about HSG, but I have read that it has helped many women get pregnant almost right after having it done. Keeping you in my prayers!

Good luck today! Thanks for putting things in perspective. I'm at the first step this morning and am waiting to get my blood drawn to check my hormone levles and I'm being a baby. I need to look at it like you….hopefully it will be the start of some answers. Sending you good thoughts.

Thinking good thoughts for you today! I had an HSG last fall, and it was pretty painful. I don't have childbirth to compare it to, but (for me at least) it did hurt…particularly when the radiologist asked me to "roll back and forth on the table" so that the dye could flow into each tube. Yowza.

It didn't work for me, but one of my best friends (who never ovulated due to severe PCOS) got pregnant immediately after her HSG. So I'm sending hopeful thoughts your way!

If I said that I was thinking happy thoughts for you and your tubes, would that be weird? I kinda think so. But whateve.

I LOVE #1 and #2! Fight with KNOWLEDGE! Besides, being healthier WILL help you in the long run! I was surprised to see how Soy actually ISN'T good for women in large doses (and it's in a LOT of foods)! I cut it out when I had that ovary removed. Well – I cut back BIG time. I still have the occasional Luna bar.
