I have been quieter on the blog front these days. I can’t say that my silence has been intentional. One day turns into two which turns into three. But in the end, we all know that when life steps in, sometimes writing a post about your favorite sweaters for Fall isn’t first on the priority list.

And despite my immense blogger guilt, I am trying to be okay with that…

I have a lot to share with you, and nothing to share all at the same time. I am still working on dealing with my anxiety, still chasing dreams, still loving my husband, and all of that good stuff. No major shifts, only baby steps in the (hopefully) right direction.

Every day, every experience, every event in life isn’t always extraordinary. In fact, most of it is pretty damn ordinary.

I used to be someone who thrived off of drama. I always had my finger on the trigger. I enjoyed that adrenaline rush. I lived for it. I think that was mostly because I was young, and I was on the up and up.

But right now, after going through a bit of a downward spiral, I am learning to enjoy the ordinary…even if it doesn’t make for good blog content.

Do you ever feel a lull in your life? Are lulls good or bad? (I guess it depends on the reason for the lull, no?)

I LOVE lull. Too much excitement and drama makes me anxious and turns my world upside down because I get so consumed. Lull allows me to think about the priorities. I think it's a good thing, for me.

    Sometimes I like lulls.

    Sometimes I don't.

Routine can be comforting, but I love mixing things up too. Drama can be enticing, but overall, it's exhausting.

I guess I like lulls. The word even reminds me of quite time in front of a fire curled up with a hot drink and just enjoing the moment.

But being stagnant – when a lull goes on too long and I feel like I'm not going anywhere, I HATE that.

I know what you mean! As much as I hate drama, I seem inexplicable drawn to it. When things calm down, I somehow manage to up the ante, and the drama explodes. Why do I do this to myself! For instance I wasn't happy when we bought our house, and had 5 months til our wedding. That's hardly a lull, right? Plenty to keep us busy? Well, I *had* to go and adopt a puppy, and our "lull" turned into a crazy, hectic life. Then after the wedding I went and adopted another. Double the crazy, double the drama. Our house still is nowhere near finished, and we've lived there almost a year, and it drives me crazy. yet, I created this mess. I made my own hell. Shame on me!

I am totally in a lull. And a little too tired to do anything about it. Thanks for the update. Baby steps is right. Hopefully soon, the lull will end.

It's part of the ebbs and flows of life. As long as we don't stat in the lull, I think it's fine!
