L has a big exam today. I am a fidgeting, nervous mess.

A couple of weeks ago, he had his semi-annual job evaluation. I was the same way: nervous.

My wifely-ness is showing again.

This is seriously SO weird. I always cared about him and his future, but lately, it’s like we are the same person or something.

I’m also a little selfish. It’s OUR future now. Every move I make or he makes is a move toward our future. So, yes, we have even more invested in each other now than ever. I can’t imagine how it will be one day with children. Talk about commitment, right?

This post has absolutely no common theme to it.

All I know is that I’m sitting here for the next four hours, completely unable to concentrate on my own work, because my husband is in an exam.

I feel like my life is one of those terribly cheesy wedding cards, “Two hearts, one soul” or some bullshit like that.

Why do I do this to myself?! I know that L isn’t too nervous when I have important stuff going on. Maybe if I had a prospect that would make us super rich? 🙂 Men tend to think in numbers, what can you do?

Anyone else get nervous when their spouse has something BIG going on in their life?

Right there with ya lady. When Jeremy was looking for a job I was a nervous mess every time he had an interview. Just waiting for the call after the interview drove me nuts. Good Luck to L! I am sure he'll rock it!

I love it when people say, "Nothing changes when you get married." It's total hogwash. You ARE more invested in each other's future in EVERY sense – legally, emotionally, physically, financially…

You're doing great. Hang in there!

At the risk of sounding completely polyana, you just really love him. That's not hard to understand! You worry about him, care for him, and pick up his clothes that he leaves on the floor. I think it's great.

    Hope the exam went well!
I can totally relate and feel the pains of stressful hurdles he has to overcome all the time. I also get really absorbed in what he is doing and end up knowing a lot about his field because we're emotionally attached at the hip. Need to know how to apply to medical school? I can walk you through it even though I didn't do it myself.

Good luck L. Darling, nothing wrong with feeling the joys and pains as his other half. Have a lovely weekend!

My husband's looking for a new job and found one that would be perfect. Everyday I want to ask him if he's gotten any news about it. I really want this job for him, more than I want a new one for myself.
